QUALITY
*** Dirty Bottles at the start due to falling at transitions with loose caps. Had to stop several times to clean the conveyors and bottles.
*** Had a lot of loose caps at start of run.
BATCHING
*** Lost about 2.5 hrs - Didn't have enough jalapenos for green curry which was the first batch planned on running
*** Lost about 45 minutes while loading for Colorado Scale
*** Batch was ready about 3pm today
PRODUCTION
*** Started the Batch at about 3:20pm and finished the batch about 6:20pm. Yielded 8208 bottles.
*** Had numerous issues at transitions until got the gripper belt speeds and tightness correct.
*** Capper had some problems with loose caps and missing caps. raised capper by about 1/8th inch, loosened Quill #1 & #2 a bit for loose caps, and loosened the escapement a bit to get rid of loose caps. Missing caps were due to bottles coming in too close, had to adjust the speed of gripper belt at filler transition and adjust capper gripper and conveyor speed to ensure proper spacing.
*** Once everything got running, the line ran well. Filler was able to run about 65BPM and labeler was able to run about 78 BPM. May be able to get the speed up a little tomorrow now that everything is lined out.
MAINTENANCE
*** No major issues to report today.
*** I did have to wiggle the cable for the servo motor on labeler exit to get the wrap station to run when first starting to send bottles through. No other issues after that though.

QUALITY
*** Good Clean runs for all 3 batches.
*** Had some bottles breaking on 1st batch - most likely from employee trying to move too fast and flipping the cases harder by doing so. No issues 2nd and 3rd batches
BATCHING
*** First and 2nd batches were on time as planned. Had issues with scale when loading 3rd batch which put it behind.
PRODUCTION
*** 1st Batch was 290 Gal of Mesa De Vita Mediterranean. Started about 9:05 am and finished about 10:10am. Yielded 4187 bottles
*** 2nd Batch was 290 Gal of Mesa De Vita North African. Started about 10:50am and finished about 11:45am. Yielded 3894 bottles
*** 3rd Batch was 290 Gal of Mesa de Vita Smoky Latin. Started at 2:20pm and finished about 3:25pm. Yielded 4272 bottles
*** Had employees on almost 2 hr lunch between 2nd and 3rd Batches.
*** Had to lubricate air cylinder for #4 piston because it was slow opening slowly and causing splattering. No issues after lubricating and was able to speed line up to 85 BPM at filler.
*** No Major issues - All 3 runs good and clean.
*** Last run we were able to run about hit about 90 BPM at the filler and ran at 102 BPM at the labeler.
*** Reworked the product left in the hose and kettle lines at the end of the last run. Saved about 8 gallons on last batch from product left in the lines after kettle is empty.
MAINTENANCE
*** Had the problem with the likwifier scale today. Need to get that back working properly.
*** The servo motor on the exit of the labeler started acting up but I was able to wiggle it and tighten the tape on it to get it back going. Need to look into securing better than tap and zip tie.

Re: 3-26-21
I gave Colorado scale center a call this afternoon, they should be coming by on Monday to take a look.
Awesome job! Kirsten was super impressed in the product and how perfect the bottles looked.

3-16-21
QUALITY
*** Sticky bottles from rails and conveyors. Team did good stopping the line to clean the conveyors and rails as they got dirty.
*** Some loose caps spotted but adjusted the capper to tighten them.
BATCHING
*** Batching was ready by 8am this morning for the 8:30 start time.
PRODUCTION
*** Started 826 gal batch of Hot Honey at 8:45am and Finished about 4:45pm. Yielded 18,036 bottles
*** Filler ran well
*** Trouble with capper keeping up, had to make some elevation adjustments and also sped the capper conveyor up to about 40htz
*** Bander ran well throughout the day
*** Labeler struggled at the end of the day due to some sticky gripper belts. Cleaned the belts and made some rail adjustments and finished the day good.
*** Biggest issue is gripper belts. They need to be secured better. Especially the one exiting the bander. the one exiting the bander wobbles and walks out of its position causing us to have to reposition the belt continuously throughout the day.
MAINTENANCE
*** Secure the gripper belt at exit of bander

QUALITY
*** Good quality day today! Labels, Codes, Clean, and even/consistent fill levels.
BATCHING
*** Batched 200 of Lulu's first
*** Then Batched the (2) 800 Gallons of Shultz's.
*** Next time will need to do the (2) 800 Gallons first and then CIP. Had longer than a 2 hour wait between batches and that was with taking time to set up before starting 1st batch.
PRODUCTION
*** Started 200 Gal of Lulu's at 10:10am and Finished about 10:45am. Yielded 1872 bottles.
*** Started 1st Batch of 800 Gal Shultzes at 1:10pm and finished about 3:40pm. Yielded 8660 bottles
*** Started 2nd Batch of 800 Gal Shultzes at 3:55pm and finished about 6:10pm. Yielded 8741 bottles
*** Had some crooked caps going through, nothing that wasnt managable and we were able to adjust out of it for the most part
*** Biggest issue on the day was the bottles tipping at the transitions and gripper belts. mostly going into steam tunnel. We were able to get it good and then we would need to make adjustments because it moves out overtime. Need to see about fortifying these when we get a chance.
*** Ran filler at about 70 BPM today and these 6 packs are a pain in the ass at that speed. A lot of hustling and moving around Getting that conveyor extended should help with this.
MAINTENANCE
*** For these bottles, getting gripper belts so they don't move on us so easily.
MONDAY PRODUCTION
*** Rufus Teague Cans 😊
Hard day today and great work by everyone to finish out the day. Thank You!

QUALITY
*** Had some loose caps due to accumulation table adjusted capper
*** Had some damaged caps due to quills and needed to loosen quills.
*** Found the happy spot for capper so it didn't damage caps or allow the accumulation conveyor to loosen them.
*** Had employee at accumulation table checking all caps when they were loosened
*** Had some wrinkles in the labels at the labeler today which required tightening of the back plate and didn't see any more
BATCHING
*** Angkor Lemon Grass Batch was ready about 9:45am this morning
*** Georgia Boys batch was ready about 3pm this afternoon
PRODUCTION
*** Ran 400 Gallon batch of Angkor Lemon grass paste. Started 10:10am and Finished 12:35pm. Yielded 12,086 Bottles. Scraped about 10 Gallons at end of run due to no more bottles.
*** Ran 800 Gallon Batch of Georgia Boys BBQ in 5 Gal Pails. Started 3:10 and Finished 4:15. Yielded 175 Pails.
*** Great Clean Run today - Total line speed was 83 BPM with Filler about 91 BPM and Labeler at 96 BPM
*** With caps loosening on the accumulation conveyor had to make adjustments to capper and slow down accumulation conveyor.
*** With the quills damaging the caps had too loosen the quills a bit
*** Had Drive Fault on the capper yesterday and today. This was due to quills being too tight and constantly hitting air break. only happened once today. This required us to power down the capper and power it back up to clear.
*** Other than the wrinkled labels. Labeler ran really well all day.
MAINTENANCE
*** No major issues requiring maintenance today.

QUALITY
*** Beginning, Middle, End Samples were not pulled.
*** Fills were clean and even, caps were tight, bands were good and labels were even. Good Quality. run
BATCHING
*** Doubled an ingredient but we were able to double the batch and run.
PRODUCTION
*** Ran 600 Gal Batch of Kin.
*** Started 1:20 and finished about 3:30. Yielded 4302 bottles
*** Ran out all of the Kin Caps
*** It was a good run, made some adjustment to accumulation conveyor to keep bottles flowing to labeler.
MAINTENANCE

TOMORROW
*** Angkor Lemon grass in 4oz bottle.

1-19-21
QUALITY
*** Condensation on the bottles wrecking havoc and keeping labels from sticking. Turned on all exhaust fans and put 2 fans directed at bottles to dry them.
*** Will need to put on hold and inspect the bottles for labels adhering to bottles.
*** In future we will not refrigerate the one by. It is shelf stable and it would prevent it from condensing on outside of bottle.
*** Had employee checking all caps to ensure tightness due to customer complaint.
*** Was able to get a lot better bands on bottles by spacing out the bottles about 6 inches going through the heat tunnel. this was also on customer complaint, still need to get a shorter band on the bottle which will help with other bottles that require shorter bands.
*** Labels were frequently checked to ensure they were consistently being labeled. Did not have any issues with this which was also on the customer complaint.
PRODUCTION
*** Ran One By coffee. Started about 10:55 and ended about 12:10. Yielded 1536 bottles.
*** Biggest issue was the condensation on the bottles
*** Had spacing difficulties for bander but person checking tightness was able to space them.
*** Bander ran really well with the 52mm band for this. Josh was able to point out adjustment so that we can run the smaller bands.
MAINTENANCE
*** Didn't have power to the bander first thing this morning. Power cord was cut and plug wasn't installed on it.
*** Had to make some adjustments to the gripper belts for bottles tipping.
MONDAY
*** 800 Gallon of Firefly bloody mary in 5 Gal pails
*** Making up boxes for Hot Honey
*** Rework of the Charlie Joe Chai - Adding of labels.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

2-18-21
BATCHING
*** Had to transfer fist batch of the Carolina Vinegar back to mix longer
*** Ran Sweet Heat first, then ran Carolina Vinegar, then Original
*** Due to remixing the first batch, that put the 3rd batch behind.
QUALITY
*** Inconsistent Fill levels with the large nozzles with Sweet Heat, not as bad with the Carolina Vinegar possibly due to consistency
*** Gold bands were curling up at the bottom exposing the white inside of the band going through steam tunnel (see attached picture). Turned off steam to front of steam tunnel to stop it.
*** Will need to put Charlie Joe Chai on hold, will need to rework for labels, code dates and box codes.
PRODUCTION
*** Got a late start due to having to remix 1st batch. Lost about an hour
*** First Batch started 10:55 and finished 12:55, yielded 3945 bottles
*** Due to inconsistent fills, was only able to run the filler at about 40BPM on first batch
*** Had some capper issues, had to put the gripper belts around the center of bottle instead of the neck. Very few crooked caps after that
*** 2nd Batch started at 1:30 and finished about 2:20, yielded 1842 bottles.
*** Ran 2nd batch in Park mode without drip tray (no issues with dripping) to try and get more consistent fill levels.
*** 2nd Batch was able to run at about 45 BPM due to foaming. had more consistent fills
*** Made boxes between 2nd and 3rd batches for Charlie Joe Chai while waiting for batch.
*** Swapped out from Large nozzles to Diamond nozzles for last batch since we had time.
*** 3rd Batch Started 3:40 and finished 4:40. Yielded 3283 bottles. Had about 20 gallons scrap when transferring to kettle due to kettle valve being open and the connection to the pump missing its tri-clamp
*** Ran really smooth with consistent fill levels about 68 BPM at filler with the diamond nozzles.
*** Hand filled Charlie Joe Chai 1/2 gallons. Started 5:30 and finished 6:40. Yielded 406 bottles. Had scrap form disconnecting strainer and leftover from long piping.
*** Was able to CIP Kettle 1, 2, and 4 at the same time while hand filling 1/2 gallons by connecting hoses from flow panel to the top of kettle at spray balls.
*** CIP'd tea kettle and strainer when CIP'ing Kettle #3
MAINTENANCE
*** Need to look at the Large nozzles, we have inconsistent fill levels with them. When going to Daimond nozzles everything was really consistent.
*** We didn't run the hopper agitators today and had more consistent fills than when running with hopper agitator. Need to look at where air supply for the agitator is connected, may be robbing air from filler that is needed for smooth operation.
FRIDAY PRODUCTION
*** one by coffee - Short day.
*** Rework Charlie Labels
Long day today but got a lot done. Thank you Josh and James for taking care of the Charlie Joe Chai.

Re: Daily Production Reports
The independent case taper would be really nice so that we could make boxes while running the lines.
by Josh Tomlinson - 07:02 - 17 Feb 2021-
Re: Daily Production Reports
Could we use the box taper on Line 2 while we run line 1? I know it's a temporary solution until both lines are running at the same time, just a thought.TanyaOn Wed, Feb 17, 2021 at 5:03 PM Josh Tomlinson <josht@motherlodecopacking.com> wrote:The independent case taper would be really nice so that we could make boxes while running the lines.

*** Busted seal on liqwifier today loosing several gallons of product.
QUALITY
*** No quality issues
PRODUCTION
*** 800 Gallon batch of Sweetgreen hot sauce in gallon. Started 2pm and finished 4:30pm. Yielded 758 gallons

I do agree. Hand taping is inconsistent also. We do have that other 3m taper in the back if we wanna set up a independent box taping machines? Let me know.Frozen block crusher + 2On Feb 16, 2021, at 5:14 PM, Josh Tomlinson <josht@motherlodecopacking.com> wrote:

BATCHING
*** First batch heated by 6:30, had to add water ready about 7:15
*** 2nd and 3rd batch was ready for production, no issues
QUALITY
*** No Major issues some inconsistent fills but 3 Good Clean runs today
PRODUCTION
*** All 3 runs today were good clean runs with no major issues.
** 1st Batch Started about 7:20 and Finished 10:15. Yielded 7884 bottles
*** 2nd Batch Started about 10:55 and Finished about 1:35. Yielded 8016 bottles
*** 3rd Batch Started about 2:20 and finished about 4:45. yielded 7704 bottles
*** Saw some of the same jams as yesterday going into steam tunnel but not nearly as many
*** Labeler ran more efficient and at a higher yield with less rework today following training on the timer
MAINTENANCE
*** Thank you Brandon for sticking around and helping out at the end of the night.
NEXT PRODUCTION
*** Kin scheduled for Monday. Will be a later start and short day. Probably have a couple of people in earlier to help out karon in the warehouse.
OVERALL
*** This was a good couple of day long days and they worked hard. Thank you everyone that helped out I know today we were short several people due to different reasons but we got it done and each run was better than the last. THANK YOU!

BATCHING
*** 1st Batch heated by 6:30am and approved before 7am
*** 2nd and 3rd batches were ready to run before production was ready (Great Job Batching)
*** 1st batch is in the kettle for tomorrow
*** 2nd batch is in Likwifier for tomorrow
***3rd batch will be weighed and loaded tomorrow morning
QUALITY
*** Had a couple instances of loose caps but were able to tighten them without issue
*** 1st and 2nd Batches had some dirty rails and capper conveyors from overfills and bottles falling at filler transition - I was stressing keeping the rails and conveyors clean in that area and they were doing a good job of keeping clean when they did get dirty
*** Fill levels were a bit inconsistent at faster speeds, none too low that we couldn't pack but not the best quality
PRODUCTION
*** 1st Batch started at 7:05am and Finished at 10:22am. Yielded 7710 bottles
*** 2nd Batch started at 10:45am and finished at 1:50pm. Yielded 7752 bottles
*** 3rd Batch started at 2:15pm and finished at 5:35pm. Yielded 7812 bottles. This was our best run of the day
*** 1st and 2nd runs had some inconsistent fill levels made many adjustments to timing of pistons and nozzles. Would get better and then get inconsistent again. We will change out the piston O-rings in the morning to help with this.
*** Had a lot of bottles tipping at the transition from filler to capper on 1st and 2nd runs.
*** Drive sprocket stripped on filler conveyor at the start of the 3rd run. After it was replaced we were able to lower the transition plate more and didn't have any more bottles tipping
*** On the 1st and 2nd Batch we had the non-operator side of the capper gripper belts fall out of place. Mechanics repositioned and tightened down.
*** Had multiple jam ups at the capper exit. This is from the bottles turning slightly as they exit the capper and then hitting the rails. The bottles turning is caused by the curve of the flask on the gripper belt. I put in a work order to have the rails extended into the capper further so that the rails can catch the bottles as they are turning and straighten them out instead of the bottles turning and ultimately jamming into the rails.
*** Had numerous jams at the gripper belt going into the steam tunnel. After I was able to watch it for a minute this was caused by the gripper belt being about an inch higher than the rail tipping the bottle over the edge of the rail causing the top of the bottle to hit the side of the steam tunnel and jam up. I raised the rail to be even with the gripper belt and this corrected the problem.
*** Had some slack in the accumulation conveyor rails going into the 3rd run allowing bottles to turn sideways. Tightened down the rails and didn't see it more.
*** Labeler ran well throughout the day. Need to train more on timing. Operators tend to run until the labeler stops itself. We have a timer at the labeler for them to set so that they can check on the labels before it stops. Had a far better yield and cleaner run at the labeler on the 3rd run with me baby sitting it. If we use the timer correctly, we will see significant improvement at the labeler
MAINTENANCE
*** Other than the work order that I mentioned above, we need to find a way to fortify and make the gripper belts a little more sturdy. They tend to move around easily and there is a lot of flex in them as we discussed in the management meeting today.
*** Overall a good day. We got (3) 800 gallon batches completed with change overs and line cleaned in less than 12 hrs today. It was a long hard day for everyone, especially our operators. Please when you see them, thank them, shake their hand, and let them know they busted their ass to get everything done today.
NEXT DAY PRODUCTION
*** Changing out piston O-rings starting at 5:30am
*** Production will plan on starting by 7am
*** Three 800 gallon batches of Rufus Teague Sweet Honey
*** Another long day but very capable day the last batch ran really smooth after the drive sprocket was changed.

Re: Daily Production Reports
We were able to do 1050 gallons into a small bottles in less than 7 hrs of run time. I think an 800 of woozy's is feasible in an 8 hr day.

2-4-21
BATCHING
*** 1st Batch was ready early at about 9am (great job batching)
*** 2nd Batch was ready as we finished the first batch run (again, great job)
QUALITY
*** Started seeing some varying fill levels and overfills on the 2nd batch - nothing major that Danny couldn't handle
PRODUCTION
*** Started 1st batch on time about 10:05 and finished about 1:30. Yielded 9654 bottles
*** Started 2nd batch about 2:25pm and finishted about 5:50pm. Yielded 9486 bottles
*** Used the 52mm bands - tight fit - had a lot of bands miss but were able to continue smoothly. 2nd batch ran better than the 1st
*** Had to have 2 employees straightening and loading bottles from turn table to filler infeed conveyor in order to keep up with filler - this is our biggest area for improvement. Filler ran consistently at about 65BPM when it didn't have to wait on bottles. The inconsistent rates lead to inconsistent fill levels.
*** Capper ran really well and labeler ran well between 66 and 78 BPM
*** Ran out of 6pk bottles at end or 2nd run. Used 15 cases of 12 pack bottles. No finished goods went into 12 pack cases.
MAINTENANCE
*** Need bander reflector installed differently - it sticks over the edge of the rail just slightly catching some bottles as they go by causing bands to miss
*** Need exit rails on labeler raised about 2" so that they can be adjusted inward more.
*** Need capper sorting wheel replaced or gripper belt installed so that we can get even spacing between bottles
*** Need solution to turntable for bottles - there was a lot of work keeping bottles feeding into the fill consistently
NEXT PRODUCTION
*** No production planned for 2-5-21
*** Have Jot to run on Monday
